When I was a senior in high school a friend of mind by the name of Bill Amundsen got all excited about the '62 Ford T-bird Sport Roadster when they 1st came out. He would talk your ear off about it. I thought the 2 seater look was a great idea but wasn't as excited as Bill was about it. Well time went on & models changed & I pretty much forgot about it. In the late 80's I got interest in cars of my youth. I was looking though an old car magazine. I turned the page & there it was - a '62 Sport Roaster. As I looked at it, my memory kicked in & I said to myself "Bill Amendsen sure was right - that is a great car to get excited about". About 2 or 3 months later, I found out about one for sale in a neighboring town & ended up buying it.
