On Tuesday the 24th of January 17 CTCW members attended a tech Seminar at Kilpatrick Engine and Transmission.
  After a tasty lunch of brats and beer or soda Jim Kilpatrick did a fantastic job of walking us thru the process of machining an engine. Jim showed us the cleaning process they start out with and then on to boring and honing of the cylinder walls. He resurfaced a block and showed us his engine balancing equipment. He also changed the seat in a head to a hardened seat and showed us the process of installing new valve seals. 

Jim did an awesome job of explaining engine rebuilding and appeared to be passionate about what he did.
